For one, the content is published by Activision with an M rating for violence, blood and language....

With pre-orders reportedly down despite Activision’s best hopes, Advanced Warfare still faces the challenge of convincing those reluctant to buy new games in a series that has become something of a known quantity in recent years. But, on the critical side of things the game is reviewing positively and the bold gameplay choices (and that new three year dev cycle) seem to be paying off. If it wants to shrug off that aforementioned fatigue and beat out competition for a place in our Christmas stockings, Advanced Warfare will have to be consistent in both its functioning and means for addressing issues that do arise (steering clear of Driveclub’s example)....

When the raised components of the code are taken as dashes, the scattering of white dots actually spells out ‘black ops 2,’ all but confirming that no other title should be expected for the next entry in the CoD series....

2K Games today released the launch trailer for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, featuring the trademark humor gamers have come to expect from the franchise. But the biggest laugh of all may come from a shot that the trailer takes at one of this year’s other biggest titles. Since Bungie’s Destiny has been mentioned in some circles to model many of its features and mechanics after Borderlands-esque team play, mixed with elements from the MMO genre, the developers apparently couldn’t pass up the chance to comment on the similarities....

In the trailer, Zombies audio director Brian Tuey describes Rezurrection as their “season finale.” While previous Zombie maps have all brought something new to table, Treyarch feels that “Moon” really ups the ante. The location of the map brings with it a huge change to the Zombies formula as player can no longer rely on the tactics they have used before - given the lower gravity. The decreased gravity makes it more difficult to maim zombies as players will sometimes find themselves floating around and past their targets....
